A FridgeFreeze vaccine storage unit was used at the New Jersey Health Officers Association Mass Vaccination Exercises on June 12, 2011. Summarized from the report of the vaccine study:
The Randolph Regional Health Department held a mobile mass immunization exercise in two of its four coverage communities. Tents were set up in the parking lots of two targeted residential complexes and the scenario envisioned vaccination against a flu outbreak in the community. Through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act actual vaccines were made available. A total of 133 vaccines were distributed, including 78 actual inoculations.

A FridgeFreeze portable medical refrigerator/freezer was used along with a backup battery system and cart. The report explains:

“Because both PODs were held outdoors without access to refrigeration or electricity, a FridgeFreeze mobile self-contained vaccine storage unit was purchased.”
